Sheila Bird competed at the Mind Body Soul Tournament in Edmonton, AB July 4, 2009.

There were 9 women at the tournament competing from club all over Alberta. Sheila had 6 matches winning all her fights by submission.

Gi Division: Gold medal: won 3 matches, one by key lock from kesa gatame, scissor choke with legs and collar choke in final match.

No-Gi Division: Gold medal : won 3 matches, one by spinning arm bar from guard, peruvian necktie and the final with kimora.
